1 Corinthians 13: 4-8, 13
Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails…(13)And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love.
1 John 4:19
We love him, because he first loved us.
1 John 4:10
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.
For the wages of sin is death, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord.
Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life
Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends
But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us.
But thou, O Lord, art a God full of compassion, and gracious, longsuffering, and plenteous in mercy and truth.
And rend your heart, and not your garments, and turn to the LORD your God: for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and of great kindness, and repents him of the evil.
For thou, Lord, art good, and ready to forgive; and plenteous in mercy unto all them that call upon thee.
The LORD is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in mercy.
